Highly regarded housing company in Norfolk is seeking a Litigation Legal Counsel on a full-time, hybrid working arrangement.

Based in Norwich with travel to the company’s other locations, this is an excellent opportunity for a legal executive or solicitor to utilise their housing litigation skills within a busy team. You will manage a varied caseload as well as supervising junior colleagues.

To put you forward for this position, we require your ideal salary and location and notice period.

Responsibilities

  • Handling a varied caseload of housing litigation matters
  • Supervising members of the team
  • Attending court and conducting own advocacy
  • Taking witness statements
  • Preparing legal documents
  • Liaising with customers and external parties
  • Debt recovery
  • Antisocial behaviour
  • Rent arrears
  • Disrepair claims

The Candidate

  • Qualified legal executives or solicitors with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE
  • Experienced in housing and litigation
  • Able to conduct own advocacy
  • Flexible and able to travel to other offices
  • Strong IT skills to include Microsoft Office
  • Works well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • A team player who works equally well on own initiative with minimal supervision
  • An outstanding communicator both written and verbally
  • Has an innovative approach to their work
  • Able to explain things in clear, accessible language
