Childcare Lawyer with panel membership sought within established practice in London.

Providing advice and representation to a varied client base including parents and children, the successful lawyer will manage a complex and varied caseload in all aspects of childcare and ensure high levels of client care and service at all times. Current members of the Law Society’s Children Panel will be essential.

To put you forward for this position, we require your ideal salary and location and notice period.

Responsibilities

  • Special guardianship orders
  • Adoption including international matters
  • Applications for supervision and care orders
  • Wardship
  • Liaising with guardians, adoption agencies and local authorities
  • Conducting own advocacy as required
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of developments within your specialist field
  • Participating in business development initiatives for the department and practice as a whole
The Candidate

  • Solicitors and legal executives with at least 2 years’ experience in childcare
  • Memberships of the Law Society’s Children Panel is essential
  • Possesses excellent technical and organisational skills
  • Able to manage a full caseload with minimal supervision
  • A following of clients including guardians is highly advantageous
  • Demonstrates strong advocacy and client care skills
  • Has a desire to participate in professional development
