In House Civil Litigation Lawyer sought for a highly regarded practice based in Merseyside.

This is an opportune time for a talented solicitor or barrister with specialist advocacy, advisory and drafting services to join our client’s thriving practice based in Liverpool. Providing a high-quality service to the firm’s clients, the successful applicant will support fee earners managing caseloads in complex civil litigation; primarily in the fields of financial mis-selling, consumer credit, construction and landlord and tenant. This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities
  • Undertaking advocacy
  • Advising on liability, quantum and evidence
  • Preparing pleadings, skeleton arguments and witness statements
  • Attending court hearings
  • Attending conference
  • Due diligence
  • Development of new products
  • Ensuring compliance
  • Attending/participating in weekly case clinics
  • Assisting with staff training
 

The Candidate
  • Solicitors and barristers with a minimum of three years’ experience
  • Technical proficiency in civil litigation as well as Part 7 litigation experience is essential
  • Experience in fast track litigation and ideally multi track
  • Civil Higher Rights of audience is highly desirable
  • IT literate with the ability to operate case management systems
