Job Description

A very highly regarded practice, ranked by Chambers & Partners and Legal 500, is seeking a full-time, permanent Criminal Lawyer to join their thriving London team. The successful candidate will manage a complex caseload of criminal matters, including both Legal Aid and private work, with minimal supervision. 

An outstanding billing, police station, and diary/admin support team will support them. The firm offers a genuine career progression pathway up to and including equity partnership. Although the firm is looking for a candidate with some following /proven referral sources, there will be a caseload to come to. Support will be provided to help the candidate enhance their reputation and build their practice within a high-quality environment.

 Responsibilities for this Criminal Lawyer opportunity:
  • A lawyer with at least 5 years’ experience in crime
  • High technical proficiency and understanding/knowledge of the law
  • Excellent client care skills
  • A good team player who will fit into an excellent, well-rounded, and pleasant team
  • IT literate with the ability to operate a computer-based case management system
  • Crime duty accreditation is desirable but not essential
  • LAA Supervisor status essential
  • Higher rights of audience are a useful addition but not essential.
